neue eye toy kamera
für die ps3 gibt es im sommer eine neue eye-toy kamera von sony, die kann auch slow-motion und time-lapse, zoomen und funktioniert auch bei miesen lichtverhältnissen. der schokobalken da oben drauf ist ein hoch „sophisticated“ mikro.
sd, hd, hä?
in unserem büro steht gerade für ca. 2 wochen ein 50″ (127cm) plasma von lg, bekommt ein kunde für ein museum. naja das ist ja auch nicht das spannende daran, das spannende war der ps3 abend den wir gestern darauf veranstaltet haben!
endlich hab ich mal meine derzeitigen games (resistance, f1, gt hd, motorstorm) und casino royale in high definition genossen! wahsinnsbild, monströs groß (ca. 2 meter von unserer besprechungscouch entfernt) und einfach unpackbar. nach 4 stunden waren meine augen im eck (wie wir ösis sagen)… da kommt jedenfalls extremer spaß auf, aiaiaiai! unglaublich was man für details sieht. was mich irritiert hat: da war (vorallem bei f1 und gt hd) wieder das gruselige kantenflimmern zu sehen. liegt wahrscheinlich am fehlenden anti-aliasing, wird sich wohl in zukunft ändern… dafür war motorstorm NOCH beeindruckender als auf einer normalo-glotze, da erkennt man jedes schräubchen wenns die gurke zerlegt, einfach schön!
ich muss mir auch bald so ein teil kaufen, hab da den netten toshiba 42X3030D im auge. jetzt heissts sparen, sparen, sparen…

das sollte man sich ansehen, ein wirklich toller short animation film, scheint mir ein hobbyprojekt zu sein. jedenfalls gehts um einen nazi-mech der sein unwesen treibt:

ps3 „folded“ geschichte
“The PS3 turnout has been amazing, greatly exceeding our expectations and allowing us to push our work dramatically forward,” said Vijay Pande, Associate Professor of Chemistry at Stanford University and Folding@home program lead. “Thanks to PS3, we have performed simulations in the first few weeks that would normally take us more than a year to calculate.“
- More than 250,000 unique PS3 users have registered to the program in just one month
- PS3 users are delivering nearly 400 teraflops, achieving a total computing power of over 700 teraflops at a single moment. This is more than double the computing capacity of the network before PS3 joined the program
- These PS3 fans can also be part of history as the Folding@home distributed computing program inches closer to achieving a petaflop – a measure of computing power that has never before been reached.
